A habit is a routine of behaviour that is repeated regularly. It is used to express activities we perform on a daily, weekly monthly, yearly period. We may even have habits that occur every ten years such as high school reunions.
When expressing these habits, we can use many different expressions. I have chosen to explain the use of the following in this video:
Usually as a frequency adverb that expresses a routine.
To be used to + ing as a verb that expresses something someone is accustomed to doing.
Used to + verb as a verb that expresses a past habit that stopped in the past.
Examples in Context Usually
We usually go to mass on Sundays.
They are usually on time.
To Be Used To + -ing
I am used to meditating every morning.
She isn’t used to studying after every lesson.
Used To + Verb
He used to be married.
You used to call me more regularly.
